A Life in Colour
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Silvana now paints from her studio in Boston and is regularly invited to exhibitions across Latin America. She specialises in mixed-media painting across numerous formats, always striving to produce originals that can never be replicated — works held in private collections worldwide. Each painting is an invitation to feel more, see more, and live more vividly.

How a Painting Lives
Feeling First
Every painting begins with an emotion, not a plan. Silvana sits with a feeling — joy, longing, wonder — until the colour palette reveals itself.
The Ground
She primes the canvas with bold, gestural washes — building a luminous foundation that will glow through every subsequent layer.
Dialogue
Layers are added and removed in conversation. Thick impasto strokes, translucent glazes, and unexpected marks create depth and surprise.
Resolution
A painting is finished when it sings on its own — when the colours vibrate with life and the composition feels inevitable, not forced.
